Do phone cases block NFC business cards?
Most cases don't interfere — a few thick or metal ones do.
Standard silicone, TPU, leather, and clear plastic cases don't block NFC at all — the signal passes straight through. You can tap a SmartCard with the case still on in nearly every situation.
The exceptions are cases with a metal plate or ring (common in car-mount and wallet-style cases) and very thick battery cases, which can weaken or block the signal entirely.
If a tap isn't registering, try removing the case once, or moving the card an inch to find the phone's actual NFC antenna, which usually sits near the camera on the back.
